Christmas 1914 DHMS Web Project!

5 Weeks today until Christmas Day & we're all beginning to think about how we're going to celebrate the festive season. The first Christmas of WW1 would find many people in a place far removed from that of the previous year but thanks to Princess Mary, the daughter of King George V, and the fund she created, nobody who wore His Majesty's uniform or was serving far away from home was without a gift. Indeed widows or parents of those killed, along with nurses serving abroad and the wounded on leave or hospitalised also received a gift box.

Here, Dolls House & Miniature Scene magazine continue their series of exclusive web projects marking 100 years since the start of World War 1 with this amazing miniature version of Princess Mary's 1914 Gift Box. An addition which is an absolute must for any house or scene of the time this festive season!
