Be Transported Back To 1914 With DHMS Magazine's New Competition & Project

It's so very hard to believe that 2014 marks the 100th anniversary of the start of World War One. People for whom that time was very much the present are an important part of many of our lives and are people who we remember every day as an integral part of who we are and have become. There are going to be a huge number of commemorative events in the coming twelve months and Dolls House & Miniature Scene magazine have launched a wonderful WW1 competition to ensure that the miniatures world plays its part too. They say that "Entries can be anything from a single miniature item to a whole diorama scene and based on the Home Front or the Western Front." so there's definitely something for everyone to tackle depending on the time you have available!

......And while you're getting your thinking cap on there's something to get everyone started too, the first in a series of very special exclusive web projects from Dolls House & Miniature Scene showing how to make this fantastic fabric Union Flag and including some Propaganda posters from the time which really give a feeling for the era. Just click on the flag to go back in time (& to the DHMS website!!)
