British Classics In Miniature

Two of our latest miniatures represent two British classics - the Ploughman's Lunch & the Roast Dinner! An icon of English culture the Ploughman's Lunch is to be found on many a pub menu as you dawdle through the English countryside! Our Chicken Roast Dinner is dinner with a peppery twist - two delicious stuffed peppers accompany the lemon drizzled bird itself along with Goose Fat Roast Potatoes, Chipolata Sausages, Garden Peas & Chantenay Carrots!

It never quite gets dark here on our Atlantic outpost just now, the longest day is just weeks away and the days truly are long. Constant light in the skies are no incentive to put down our creativity and go to bed these days and we often find ourselves working into the wee small hours! Tonight is no exception and the dawn is breaking to the tune of a French Macaroon Cake!

Minis In The Wind!

We're certainly suffering from the windy weather here in Scotland today! Ferries all over the country have been cancelled, bridges closed, trees have been blown down and there's been gusts of over 100mph!! Fruits Of The Weekend!

Here's the French Patisserie Fruit Tart mentioned in our last blog. The Apple Pie and that something a bit different and special involving French Macaroons are coming along in the next few days but we just couldn't wait to share this with everyone and deserves a blog post all of it's own! Grapes, Blueberries, Raspberries, Strawberries, Peaches, Apples & Bananas.....truly delicious!!

The Way The Cookie Crumbles!

We think these gorgeous cookies are truly one of our favorite minis! They are something really, really special and we've been very excited and looking forward to sharing them with everyone - we've been refreshing the computer more than often waiting for blogger to start working again so we could finally post some pictures! So, now that everything is functioning again here they are, along with a selection of our other recent minis!! The Mini Whirlwind continues here in the Hebrides with a Fruit Tart, an Apple Pie & something different with French Macaroons - but that's all for next time!!

The Spring sunshine continues here in the Hebrides so time for some summery puddings with our Trio of 3 Spring Desserts! Then, for those days when it's too balmy to be in the kitchen baking a cake for that special party nip down to the bakers and pick up this scrummy Boxed Rose Party Cake.....just what's needed for celebrating those important occasions in miniature!
