Freshly Picked Lettuce With Caterpillars & Ladybugs!

Life is all around us, everywhere we look and the miniature world must, under no circumstances, be an exception!! There's a whole miniature world going on within the miniature world itself inside this Freshly Picked Lettuce With Caterpillars & Ladybugs! Every leaf individually handmade, it's always so much fun to see a miniature like this coming to life, bit by bit!

Summer is in full flood here & it's quite amazing to watch tourists park their cars, get out and gather round to take photographs of a view that is "just" the everyday view from your worktable! It's quite surreal to be working on new miniatures and suddenly see a group of tourists who have likely come all the way from America, Japan & so many other places having their photograph taken outside! To take us back to the begininng of this post, life is indeed all around us & comes from all across the globe to just outside the window where the worktable sits!!

Once again whilst other areas of the UK are deluged with rain we are basking in glorious July sunshine with baking temperatures here in the Islands! A Midsummers Dessert!

Midsummers night has arrived! Here we are, on our island in the north of Scotland, quarter to midnight and sunlight still in the sky. There won't be a night lighter than this one! After tonight we're on the turn and the nights slowly (very slowly here fortunately!!) begin to get shorter once more. Makes you just want to stop time and this moment! Something which you can always do in the miniature world and today we added a real citrus taste of Summer to our Etsy store! These 4 tiny 1:12th scale miniature Lemon Slices are entrancing and were such fun to create!

Summer Eatings!

Whilst so many parts of the UK have suffered awful weather of late we seem to have been in the eye of the storm and the sun is still shining! The island has been alive with visitors over the Queen's Diamond Jubilee holiday and Summer is almost here! These 1:12th scale Stuffed Tomatoes just epitomise the vibrancy of the season! With cheese, pine nuts, garlic, lemon, spring onions and breadcrumbs they make you think of those very special Summer meals outdoors when everything tastes so much nicer in the fresh air!
