Traditional Scottish Haggis!

You can tell it's nearing the end of January, Haggis are for sale, posters advertising Burns Suppers are all around and even the supermarket is selling neeps and tatties (swede and potatoes, the traditional accompaniment to Haggis!) ready to slot in the microwave for those looking for the quick route to dinner this Burns Night!

 

So, with Burns Night tomorrow, it seemed like the right time to bring a little Celtic magic to the miniature table too with this Traditional Scottish Haggis which we added to our online store this week!

Hogmanay & Into 2014!

Hogmanay is a cold, windy night here on Skye but as we look across the hillside every dot of light represents the comforting warmth of tradition as families gather in crofts and houses to celebrate Scotland's most important night of the year!

 

Thank you to everyone who's been a part of Homewardflight this year, customers old and new and it's wonderful to think of all the corners of the world where our miniatures are seeing in 2014!

Christmas Baking In Miniature!

We're past the shortest day of the year and we're now actually heading back towards Spring! First though it's hopefully time for a bit of magic in all our lives on this, the day before Christmas Eve & what better place to start than in the miniature kitchen where it's all about baking - from shortbread Christmas trees to sparkle laden cookies for the tree!
